Publication and peer review process

Content overview

Original Research: reports of data from original research.

Reviews: comprehensive, authoritative, descriptions of any subject within the scope of the journal.

Peer-review policies

All submitted manuscripts are evaluated by one of the Editor-in-Chief and appropriate manuscripts are then assigned to an Editor for handling. The  Editor calls upon at least two reviewers for their comments. Authors are asked to provide names and contact details for two reviewers; however, final selection of reviewers is the responsibility of the Editorial Board. The peer-review system is closed, meaning that reviewer’ confidentiality is maintained and reports are not made publicly available. We make every effort to reach an initial decision within six weeks of submission. Based on the reviews, the  Editor reject, accept or request revision of the manuscript.

Authors will be able to check the progress of their manuscript through the submission system at any time by logging into Editorial System, a personalized section of the site (will be available soon).
